The Chichibu Distillery Description
The 2022 Edition of the US bottling of Ichiro’s Single Malt is composed of a blend of nine casks with a focus on a selection of barrels which previously held India pale ale, imperial stout, and hopped cider to lend subtle notes of tropical fruit and citrus.
- Limited edition single malt whisky produced by Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan
- Made from 100% malted Concerto two row barley, milled and mashed in-house
- Mash fermented in Mizunara washbacks for 90–100 hours
- Distilled in Forsyths copper pot stills
- Non-age statement; aged in a combination of a sherry hogshead and ex-IPA, imperial stout, and hopped cider casks
- Bottled at cask strength without additives or coloring
- Limited release of 2233 bottles
- Non-chill filtered; 53.5% ABV
