Akkeshi’s 24 Sekki series seeks to evoke the micro seasons of the Japanese solar year, expressing seasonal nuance in liquid form. Hakuro is the heart of September, the 8th through the 22nd, when dewy summer nights embrace the last of summer’s vibrance. Akkeshi’s Hakuro – Glistening White Dew represents this voluptuous atmosphere through a single malt lush with mouthwatering pastry notes balanced by flashes of fruit and tannin.

- 12th release in Akkeshi’s 24 Sekki series
- 100% malted barley double distilled in Forsythe copper pot stills; barley is heavily peated to a non-disclosed PPM
- Water sourced from the Homakai River; filtered through a layer of peat
- Aged a minimum 3 years in a combination of Hokkaido mizunara, ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and ex-red wine casks; non-age statement
- A nose of sandalwood accompanied by honey, freshly baked bread, and pastry cream leads to a rich and smoky palate of persimmon, bittersweet chocolate, and black tea
