The Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Riserva Asili is widely considered one of the pinnacle expressions of the Barbaresco village, often praised for its distinct combination of high-toned elegance, finesse, and profound depth. Produced only in exceptional vintages, it is crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the celebrated Asili vineyard, which features calcareous limestone soils with veins of sand.
Asili typically falls in the middle of the "power continuum" among the nine Produttori Riservas—less austere than Montestefano but more profound and structured than Pora or Rio Sordo. Aromatics: Heady scents of wild rose, red berries, camphor, leather, and brown spice.
Palate: Linear and vibrant, featuring red cherry, blood orange, star anise, and ground clove.
Structure: Known for its "velvet glove" power—silky, refined tannins supported by bright acidity and a strong mineral or stony core.
