"A mentholated top note is present on the aromas of herbal tea, poached plum, violet and spice, especially anise. The rich, suave and utterly delicious medium weight flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also serves to buffer the moderately firm tannic spine shaping the slightly more rustic finale. This isn't elegant but it doesn't lack for character."

"The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Hauts-Jarrons 1er Cru comes from a single parcel, just under a hectare in size. It has a well-defined bouquet with mulberry, briary and light loamy aromas. The palate has more density and body than the Aux Clous, very lithe in the mouth, a fine bead of acidity with a silky smooth and quite peristent finish. This is a joyful, just a delicious Savigny-lès-Beaune.
