Domaine Vocoret & Fils Description
Vineyard
Les Clos, the largest of the Chablis grands crus, is named for the stone wall that once enclosed it, as is the tradition in the Côte d’Or. Located between Blanchots and Valmur, this vineyard has rocky limestone soils and
a southern exposure.
Vinification and Aging
After the grapes are hand sorted, they are gently pressed with a pneumatic press. The juice is then chilled and allowed to settle for 24 hours before it is transferred to oak puncheons for fermentation. The grands crus wines are fermented entirely in oak puncheons for six to eight months.
- Color: Moderate Lemon
- Nose: Pear and apple scents infused with white flowers and minerality.
- Palate: Ripe golden apple and Dijon pear flavors combine with briny oyster shell minerality.
