These old Pinot Noir vines are rooted in deep, fractured, rocky Monterey Shale, which fosters a deep and exotic wine. This is a wine that has power and commands attention, yet is demure and enchanting. Its expressive, dark fruit and savory aromas lead to layered and finely sculpted complexity on the palate. One who possesses a modicum of discipline and a little patience will be rewarded in the years ahead, as there is much to look forward to.
