The Domaine Jean François Pinot Noir is sourced from 12 specifically identified and chosen rows from the T6 block of the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard and is a wine of extraordinary pedigree. These old Pinot Noir vines are rooted in deep, fractured, rocky Monterey Shale, which fosters a deep and exotic wine. This is a wine that has power and commands attention, yet is demure and enchanting. Its expressive, dark fruit and savory aromas lead to layered and finely sculpted complexity on the palate. One who possesses a modicum of discipline and a little patience will be rewarded in the years ahead, as there is much to look forward to. The rows selected for the Domaine Jean François Pinot Noir were planted in 1999 on Dijon 667 clones and are some of the most highly sought-after grapes from within the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard.
