A mentholated top nose is present on the moderately oaked liqueur-like aromas of dark currant, warm earth and leather. The sleek, elegant and attractively refined flavors possess excellent depth on the lingering finish that tightens up significantly as it sits on the palate. This is potentially outstanding and a wine that should amply repay 15 to 20 years of cellaring. In a word, excellent.
