Alvaredos-Hobbs Description
One of the oldest varieties of the Iberian Peninsula, godello is a white grape indigenous to Galicia and highly regarded for its delicate texture and medium-high acidity. An early-ripened variety, it thrives in dry sites and well-drained soils, and is characterized by its small-sized berries and closely packed bunches. It is recognized for making age-worthy wines.

Fermentation & aging: Fermented using native yeasts and aged 10 months on the lees in 500 liter barrels and foudres
Tasting notes: Deep straw in color with green hues, this aromatic white beckons with scents of white florals, stone fruit, and citrus, with a beguiling undertone of lemon verbena and wet slate. On the palate, the wine presents vibrant notes of grapefruit, apple, and lime, with hints of clover honey, tangerine zest, and white pepper. Medium bodied with crunchy minerality, an elegant mouthfeel, and a creamy, lingering finish.
