Siembra Spirits Description
Distilled to 55% ABV with the agave fibers, or bagasse, left in the still during the first distillation and then proofed to 40% ABV, Siembra Alteño Reposado represents the shared efforts of these two giants of tequila to recreate and preserve the traditional flavors, aromas, textures, and terroir of the Los Altos region in Jalisco’s highland plateau. The results are beautiful, complex, bold—even challenging, and immediate cult classics.
- Reposado tequila produced in Arandas, Los Altos, Jalisco (NOM 1139)
- Maestro Tequilero José Lorenzo Coronado
- 100% Blue Weber (Agave tequilana)
- Roasted in brick ovens for three days
- Crushed using a roller mill
- Fermented naturally using ambient yeast in open-air pine vats (tinas)
- Distilled twice using traditional copper pot stills with fibers (bagasse) included in the first distillation
- Aged 7 months in American white oak barrels
- Warming aromas of white peppercorn, dark maple, butterscotch, damp leaves, and baking spices unfold on a palate that integrates soft tropical vibes of mango, burnt orange peel, roasted plantain, caramel alongside some subtle candied apple. Absolutely delightful.
