Greetings from Tuthilltown Spirits, the first distillery in New York since the repeal of Prohibition. We've brought back the historic rye whiskey for which New York was famous until 1920 when Prohibition ended small-batch distilling here in the Hudson Valley and all across the Empire State. Our Manhattan Rye was the first legally-distilled rye whiskey made in New York in four generations. This bottle contains whiskey from a SINGLE BARREL of our Manhattan Rye which was awarded 'Best Rye Whiskey 2017' at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge scoring a 97 out of 100. Our rye whiskey is double-distilled from locally NY-gorwn rye grain on custom copper pot stills and barrel-aged at the home of the historic 1788 Tuthilltown Gristmill, a National Historic Site.
