Angus Dundee Distillers Description
Our Master Distiller, Robert Fleming has carefully selected single malt distilled in 2011 and matured initially in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks. The single malt in these casks has been married then finished in the finest Oloroso Sherry butts sourced from Andalucía, Spain.
The Oloroso Sherry butts perfectly complement Tomintoul Single Malt imparting rich fruit flavours, which enhance the character and complexity of our whisky.
- Nose: Sweet aromas of dried fruits, crème caramel and roast nuts cushioned with cocoa powder and baking spices.
- Palate: Buttery layers of golden syrup, chocolate raisins and brittle toffee mingled with fruit loaf, roast coffee beans and rolling tobacco.
- Finish: Maple flapjacks, candied pecans and caffe latte fading into tiramisu, chocolate ganache and warming wood spices.
